Australian Coffee

Aistralian CoffeeWith the increasing availability of Australian green beans, the CBRH has moved to commercially roast, grind and package this Australian crop to the domestic and international markets.

The green Australian beans we use are Skybury beans grown on the Atherton Tablelands region near Cairns, Far North Queensland, some of the best coffee grown in Australia. The distinctive features of Australian Coffee have been recognised and a roasting regime developed that enhances its nature and character, resulting in awards in successive coffee competitions conducted by Sydney Fine Foods at the Royal Agricultural Show including Champion Australian Coffee of the Show in the year 2000.

This Australian Coffee is a pleasant all day drinking coffee suited to filter, plunger or espresso brewing. A Gourmet Australian Coffee is also available, which blends Australian Coffee with a natural cream macadamia flavour – Australian Coffee with the flavour of the Australian Nut, an obvious choice for that special occasion.

These Australian Coffee products will enhance the ability of Master Caterers to showcase Australian foods and finish the meal with Australian Coffee.

World Coffee

World CoffeeThe Coffee Bean Roasting House uses only the finest grade of coffee available, known as “speciality” coffee. There are 2 major species of coffee, Arabica and Robusta.

 Arabica coffees, grown at high altitudes (above 1200m) with abundant rainfall, warm temperatures, fertile soils and adequate shading, develop superior coffee flavours. Picked at peak ripeness Arabica are processed, graded and separated by bean size and density, but only approximately the top 10% have flavour fine enough to be selected as “speciality” coffee.

Green beans, including decaffeinated and certified organic beans are sourced by the Coffee Bean Roasting House from major coffee exporting countries including Papua New Guinea; Indonesia; Colombia; Costa Rica; Honduras; Nicaragua; El Salvadore; Kenya; Tanzania; Mexico and Ethiopia. These beans are roasted daily to ensure our product is as fresh as possible and of the highest quality.

These world coffees are roasted and packaged as Single Origin Coffees or blended to create the unique Coffee Bean Blends.

Rainforest Alliance CertifiedWe are a Rainforest Alliance certified roaster. Membership of this international group, which co-ordinates grower to consumer processes, entitles us to use the Rainforest Alliance Seal of Approval.

Buying coffee with the Rainforest Alliance Seal of Approval assures the consumer that the grower receives a fair price; the rights of workers are safeguarded; natural resources are conserved; wildlife and the environment are protected and the village community is developed through education of children and adults.

Flavoured Coffee Products 

A range of 11 natural flavours are blended with ground coffee, roasted on site and freshly packaged. No artificial colours or flavours are used.
This product has a good full coffee flavour as well as the roundness of each distinctive natural flavour and caters for all tastes.
Flavoured coffees though normally sold as ground coffee can be ordered as whole beans.
Caution should be exercised if buying Flavoured coffees as whole beans, as flavour may contaminate the next lot of coffee unless a dedicated grinder is used.
